Spread over an expanse of nearly 3000 sq ft area, the RAI Gallery is being developed as one of the premier spots in the country where creative expressions transcending boundaries, mediums and isms will be on display. With art being constantly bombarded with new media, it needs to evolve and grow constantly. As a result, art is shedding its age-old image of just a mere expression and is now evolving as an experience, which needs to be savored, understood and reflected upon, with the space for display, transforming into an interactive platform, between the viewer – artwork – artists. So while there is a need for an appropriate space for display of artworks, there is also a need for constant interaction with the viewers to involve them with the works on display.

The Religare Arts Initiative Gallery has been planned with such a belief, which will not only be used for shows and exhibitions, but also double up as venues for seminars, symposia, workshops and other art activities. Art- artist-public interactions in these spaces will also be documented and broadcast across different media, so that feedback from the public imagination inspires greater art; and public consciousness is ready and waiting when a new artwork is created. The aim is to create an interactive space wherein the viewer might walk in with prejudices and apprehensions, but, he/she will walk out with, if not an artwork, but a uniquely pleasant experience.
