As the Western model has shown, art is very much woven into the fabric of people’s daily lives there, where visits to galleries and museums would be deemed, as essential for children as a visit to a restaurant or a playground. Such interaction leads to a deeper understanding of creative expressions, as a result of which the viewer establishes a connection and makes the artwork his own, leading to a huge demand for the contemporary art. This demand manifests itself as art purchases, gallery and museum patronage, consumption of art materials or art related merchandise and many other forms. Religare Arts Initiative intends to introduce various activities, over a period of time, which will ingratiate a similar sense of understanding and appreciation of art and bring it into the public realm at large.

The Religare Arts Initiative’s Education & Awareness program is so designed to bring art into the public realm through its various outreach initiatives which will include - organizing exhibitions and traveling shows across the country, cultural exchange programs, art events and forums in public spaces that will encourage art-public interaction and will enmesh art deeper into the public consciousness.

As part of this awareness effort, Religare Arts Initiative will also create platforms for art collectors to share their private collections with the public, thereby enabling greater awareness and appreciation for art that would otherwise be inaccessible.
